LVMH has announced a significant change in its watch division leadership. Julien Tornare, formerly the CEO of TAG Heuer, will now lead Hublot. Known for its bold and innovative designs, Hublot collaborates with prominent figures like Usain Bolt and Kylian Mbappé. Tornare replaces Ricardo Guadalupe, who transitions to an honorary president role.
In his statement, Frédéric Arnault, CEO of LVMH Watches, expressed gratitude to Guadalupe for his notable 20-year tenure. Under Guadalupe, Hublot became renowned for disrupting design norms and advancing watchmaking frontiers.
Tornare’s move to Hublot signals a fresh chapter for the brand. It emphasizes strengthening Hublot’s unique market position. Meanwhile, Antoine Pin, previously Bulgari Horlogerie’s general manager, steps in as the new CEO of TAG Heuer.
This reshuffle follows Frédéric Arnault’s appointment as the head of LVMH’s watch division in January. The 28-year-old, one of Bernard Arnault’s children, had led TAG Heuer since 2020. These changes come amidst a challenging period for Swiss watch brands, which anticipate a market slowdown post-pandemic. Recent sales figures underscore this uncertainty, signaling cautious optimism for the industry.
